The majority of lottery retailers in Kansas will attend to in-person prize claims for winnings of up to $599 regardless of where you bought the ticket.
You can also go to the Lottery Headquarters in Topeka to claim prizes of up to $599.
You should get the claim form if you'd be claiming any lottery prize of $50 upwards in person at a Lottery office.
Prizes above $599 and up to $5,000 are to be claimed in person at the Kansas Lottery Headquarters located in Topeka.
You are required to fill a claim form if your prize is worth $600 or more. Take the completed claim form along with your signed winning ticket to the Kansas Lottery office.
You can expect to receive a check for prizes of up $5,000 the same day you file your claim.
For prizes of $5,001 or more, you are expected to visit the Kansas Lottery office in person and present you winning ticket and filled claim form to claim your prize.
Keep in mind that the Lottery will not issue your payment to you the same day you file your claim on prizes over $5,000. Your check will be sent via mail or you can decide to pick it up at a later date or even request that the money is deposited to your bank via electronic deposit.
You should be patient for about 7-10 days for electronic deposits or mailed payments.

Mail-in Claim

Prizes of $5,001 upwards can be claimed by mail sent to the Kansas Lottery office mailing address. As with the in-person claim for prizes of this range, you should not expect to receive your payment the same day. The same information above applies to the mail claim as well.
Winners are expected to fill the claim form when claiming any prize of $50 upwards by mail.
